WebA crime, also called an offence or a criminal offence, is an act harmful not only to some individual, but also to the community or the state. Such acts are forbidden and punishable by law. The idea that acts like murder, rape and theft are prohibited exists all around the world, and probably has universal moral basis. WebAlthough reported crime at Harvard is low, more than 90% of it is property crime, it is important for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to remember that we are located in an open and densely populated setting. Therefore, we share many of the crime and safety issues that exist in any city.
